Short version: we collect what we need to run cleanups and keep you informed, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
Clean Planet Crew is a volunteer-run initiative working against plastic pollution in Jordan. For anything on this page, write to info@cleanplanetcrew.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into one of our three forms:
- Volunteer registration: your name, email, phone number if you choose to give one, where you're based, the roles you're interested in, your general availability, and anything you add in the message field.
- Contact form: your name, email, and message.
- Event updates: your email address, nothing else.
We don't run advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to invite you to cleanups and workshops, to organise teams on event day, and to know roughly how many people to expect so we bring enough gloves and bags. That's the whole list.
Where it goes
Form submissions are handled by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, and are emailed to our own inbox. We don't sell your details, and we don't share them with third parties for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Volunteer registrations are kept while you're an active volunteer and for up to two years after your last event, in case you come back. Contact messages are kept for one year. Email sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.
Photos at events
We usually take photos at cleanups and workshops and share them on our social media to encourage other people to join. If you'd rather not appear in them, tell any team lead on the day and we'll keep you out of shot. If a photo of you is already published and you want it taken down, email us and we'll remove it.
Volunteers under 18
Younger volunteers are welcome at our events with a parent or guardian present. We ask that the registration form be filled in by that parent or guardian rather than by the child.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Email info@cleanplanetcrew.com and we'll action it, normally within a week. Every email we send about events has an unsubscribe option.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date below.
